I love the discovery and wonder of creating quilted objects. I usually start with a simple idea or “what if” question. Then pick fabrics – some for their color, or their pattern, or just because it happened to be on the top of a stack. Like all quilters, I take perfectly good fabrics, cut them up and sew them back together. And maybe cut them up again. What a delightfully illogical way to create something new. And what fun to discover how the different parts come together to make something totally unexpected.

I now focus mostly on striped fabrics. These fabrics can be used in wondrous ways to create new design elements and surprising effects. And each project adds more “what if” questions to explore.
